How Google Lens uses schema markup
Today we will take a technical deep dive what Google Lens system might be doing behind the scenes

Schema markup is a power tool on its own, yet today I'll show you how to take it a step further.
In this tutorial, I'll walk through:
Each website that you have added to your account has its own list of indexed pages. As of today it looks something like this:
As you might have already noticed during our processing we don't just create schema, but also tell you what from your schema is missing. These suggestions fall into two categories:
Required
Recommended
These are fields that are required by Google guidelines. If somehow you missed them, we urge you to add them as soon as possible. Otherwise your schema will not pass the validation and you will not get the benefits of schema.
For example if you have a Restaraunt schema but missing a name in your page, we might not be able to infer the name. Adding into your HTML "Name: Your restaraunt name here" solves it.
Required fields are marked with red color.
Recommeded fields as can be understood from their name are recommended. While their absence will not result in invalid schema, we still strongly recommend adding them where it seems fit.
For example in Job Posting schema baseSalary is not required, but adding it to the page will let Google better undestand and suggest the page.
At the moment we are working on personalized schema recommendations.
If for some reason your page has changed, and old schema no longer fits it — we have added a refresh button which will delete current schema, and trigger schema regeneration on next page visit.
We are working on bringing you scheduled schema refresh.
